So in more recent news i have now been cast in Huntingdon drama clubs production of Abigail’s party!

I have been cast as down trodden husband of Beverly and overworked estate agent Laurence and this is my first production with this club.so there are a lot of new faces and people to meet.

First rehearsals are now in place and the cast have already had their first run through.

The play itself is set in the 70's (i get to grow a tash!!!) and centres around a dinner/drinks party at Beverly’s and Laurence’s house were newly moved in Angela and Tony are invited to meet the locals for the first time.

Tony - Adam

Angela - Jane

Susan - Sharon

Beverly - Kelly

Laurence - Tyler

First performed at Hampstead Theatre, London, and subsequently produced for BBC TV, this sharply wicked social satire on lower-middle-class suburbia starred Alison Steadman in an award-winning role as the formidable hostess, Beverly, entertaining new neighbours. The evening's initial good-will, clichés and fatuous small-talk only serve to create a rising tension which finally snaps with a dramatic denouement.

thanks :D tm

as promised part 2 of my 3 part teaser for the dvd realise of siyts a midsummer nights dream.

ENJOY!! :D TM

It’s been some time since the production now but as always with SIYT a dvd of the show will be made available to the cast shortly, and like all good dvd realises SIYT's Dream deserves a good trailer. So for those of you who were in the cast thank you so much again what an amazing show and for those of you who came to see the show heres your chance to see it again!!
The teaser trailer is actually part of 3 teasers for the dvd that i will realise up to the dvd's realise (i don’t have a date yet :S !)
So this is part one of three and follows the show up to the interval.

So with out further waffle...

Enjoy :D tm

For those interested im now on linked in this is a site for networking within the performance and theatre industry so if you’re interested in any aspect of my work or have any ideas you would like to discuss please add me to your connections.

I have already hade some great responses on the site including some great endorsements from my colleges that I worked with at St Ives youth theatre.

“Tyler has now directed two productions for St Ives Youth Theatre. The latest being a full Shakespearian work. He managed the process extremely competently, and delivered the 'product' to considerable acclaim and under budget. The perfect result.” April 15, 2011

Chris Lewis, Owner, Aver Psychology
worked directly with Tyler at St Ives youth theatre

“I have worked with Tyler for 3 years on various projects for St. Ives Youth Theatre. He is extremely professional and hard working and has an amazing rapport with the youngsters who have performed under his direction. Tyler has an amazing focus and a steely determination to produce a first class performance, even when those around may cast doubts on some of the more 'way out' ideas, which usually steal the show! As an actor Tyler is a joy to watch and you know that he will have put everything he has into his role.” April 14, 2011

Jane Percy, Company Secretary, Pico Technology
worked directly with Tyler at St Ives youth theatre

“Tyler's work at the St Ives Youth Theatre (SIYT) has been prolific and industrious; innovative and inspirational for the young drama students of St Ives, I commend him most highly.” April 14, 2011

Nicholas Perry, Sir, St Ivo
was a consultant or contractor to Tyler at St Ives youth theatre

Other than this after the tragic loss of the fringe this year im now is focusing mainly on my summer production with SIYT (a full length musical) im still looking into scripts but as of yet not decided on any. So if anyone has suggestions I would love to hear back.

This will be my first attempt at a musical and working closely with the musical director of St Ives youth theatre, Brian Carter (HERO!) is something im very much looking forward to after are collaboration on A midsummer nights dream.

However all this is in very early stages at the moment.

Anyway find me on linked in, add me on twitter @jabells and follow the St Ives theatre collective on facebook

HAPPY NETWORKING! :D TM

It’s with a heavy heart I regrettably inform you that the theatre collectives attack on the fringe 2011 is no longer going ahead. :C due to financial and interest levels or lack of them the project is no longer viable as closing date for fringe entry is on the 18th and we have just not had the uptake that we were expecting.

That being said the collective lives on and we attempt to find our feet again with our next project. With the fringe festival being our aim now for 2012, we can try and find our feet locally first. The phrase “run before you can walk comes to mind” still however there is always going to be issues with funding and we are hoping to find out some more information about how this can be secured so if you have any information that may be helpful please email ([email protected]) or get in touch via the theatre collectives facebook page.

So what’s next!

Im always reading or hearing about new plays and I am looking all the time at material I would like to use. Im hoping to do something with a relatively small, yet experienced cast, possibly a one act along side others or to take to festivals. Again any interest (or even suggestions) then please email.

However, as always, more info soon.

:D tm

With august fast approaching and preparations for “the collective” to attack the fringe festivals well underway bbyd (bang bang you’re dead) is shaping up to be something not to be missed.

However this being said we are looking for anyone with information on possible funding options available for the arts. Each member of the group will be paying there own way and the initial cost of the project is about as ambitious as the cast performing this piece.

The 3 day run and venue hire and fringe entry costs are all costs up front let alone travel and living costs. And as a new company there is no financial support on this.

There are still parts available for both male and females between 18-25 years old and more information can be requested by email [email protected] however I have to be clear that there are costs involved for all taking part.

The fringe entry closes on the 18th of April and I will be able to confirm venue and running dates soon.

Any one who thinks they can help in anyway please get in touch.

We can do this together “collectively”
